How Much Does Branding Cost in the UAE, and What Affects the Price?
Two branding quotes can look similar and cover very different work. Understand what changes the price, what to check and how to budget for the right scope.
A branding quote is easier to judge when you know what will be different at the end of the project. Will you have a new logo? A visual system your team can use consistently? Or a clearer position in the market, with the messaging and identity to support it?
Each is a different scope, even when the proposal simply calls it “branding”.
At Blink, branding packages start from AED 4,500 for Logo & Identity Essentials, AED 7,000 for a Visual Identity System, and AED 13,500 for Brand Foundation & Identity. These are starting prices for defined packages, not UAE market averages or a ceiling on project costs. The final quotation depends on what your business needs.
Here is how to understand the difference, compare proposals and budget for work you will actually use.
Why can two branding quotes be so different?
Published UAE offers cover everything from a standalone logo to broader programmes involving strategy, messaging, packaging and rollout. Their prices are difficult to compare without looking at the work behind them.
A logo project might assume that your audience, offer and positioning are already clear. A strategy-led project includes work to define those foundations before design begins. A visual identity project sits between them: it develops how the brand looks and behaves across different formats, based on an agreed business direction.
The number of files is not a reliable measure of value. Ten exports of one logo are still one design, while a practical set of layout rules can help your team make consistent decisions across dozens of future materials.
What do Blink's branding packages cost?
Logo & Identity Essentials — from AED 4,500
For a new business with a final name and basic positioning that needs a professional visual starting point.
The scope includes two initial logo concepts, development of one selected concept, an essential identity with colour and typography choices, essential guidelines and three simple brand applications from the approved list.
The benefit is a usable foundation for presenting the business. Brand strategy, naming and packaging are outside this package.
Visual Identity System — from AED 7,000
For a business with a clear direction that needs a more complete and consistent visual identity.
Two creative directions are presented, with one developed into the final system. The scope includes the logo system, colours, typography, supporting graphics or patterns, imagery direction, layout principles, practical visual guidelines and three simple applications.
The added value is a wider set of design rules your team can use as new materials are created. Brand strategy and positioning are not included.
Brand Foundation & Identity — from AED 13,500
For a new business that needs its positioning, messaging and visual identity developed together.
The scope includes a brand foundation, audience definition, a desk-based competitor review, positioning, verbal identity and a complete visual system. It also includes five simple applications and up to three packaging pieces within one product family: one master concept and up to two adaptations.
This level addresses what the brand stands for, why customers should consider it and how that direction is expressed. It begins with an approved brand name; naming is not included.
All three packages cover one brand and one primary language, Arabic or English. The approved proposal confirms the final deliverables, price, review allocation and schedule.
What affects the final branding price?
1. How much strategic work is needed
A business with an agreed audience and a clear reason to choose it presents a different brief from one still deciding those points. Workshops, positioning and messaging add work before the visual identity can be developed.
Ask what “research” means in the proposal. A review of publicly available competitor material is different from customer interviews, surveys or field research. Blink's Brand Foundation & Identity package includes desk-based review; primary research is outside its standard scope.
2. Where the identity needs to work
A business card and a product range require very different design work. The number of formats, products and technical requirements affects the quotation.
For example, three packaging sizes can require three separate artwork files even if they share one design. In Blink's packaging scope, each SKU, size or separate dieline counts as one piece. Print-ready artwork also relies on final technical templates and approved product information supplied by the client or printer.
3. Arabic, English or a complete bilingual system
Language requirements should be discussed before design starts. A bilingual identity may need a second wordmark, complementary typography and separately composed right-to-left and left-to-right layouts.
Blink's standard packages include one primary language. A complete second-language identity or separately adapted applications require additional scope.
4. Custom design and licensed assets
Custom lettering, illustration or a detailed icon system can change the amount of work involved. Paid fonts, stock assets and photography may also add costs.
Check which assets are included, which licences you need and what your team will be able to use after handover. Third-party licensed materials are separate from Blink's fees unless included in writing.
5. Review rounds, approvals and timing
Refining a selected direction is different from requesting a new one. A name change or a decision to revisit an approved stage can affect both fees and timing.
One authorised decision-maker and consolidated feedback help keep the process focused. If you have a fixed launch date, raise it at the quotation stage; accelerated delivery may affect pricing and availability.
How to compare branding quotations fairly
Before comparing the totals, check that each proposal answers these questions:
- What problem does it cover? Visual presentation, strategic direction or both?
- What will be delivered? Which identity elements, guidelines and specific applications?
- How does development work? How many initial directions and revision rounds, and what happens after approval?
- Which languages are included? One primary language or a complete bilingual system?
- What is handed over? Which final file formats, editable assets and usage rights, and when?
- What costs sit outside the fee? Additional applications, licences, production or other separately scoped services?
A lower quote may be suitable when it covers everything you need. A higher quote should make the additional thinking, craft or deliverables clear. Price alone does not establish quality.
How to keep your branding budget focused
List the materials you need for launch and the ones that can wait. A service business may prioritise its website and proposal documents. A product business may need packaging before either. Those priorities should shape the scope.
Keep a separate allowance for putting the identity into use. Website development, printing, physical signage, photography and launch advertising can sit outside the branding project. Artwork delivery does not automatically include manufacturing or supplier management.
For Blink, larger items such as company profiles, complete presentation decks and social post template systems are not counted as simple brand applications. Defining these early makes the total investment easier to plan.
Common questions about branding costs in the UAE
Is a logo cheaper than a complete brand identity?
A logo-only brief is narrower, but prices still depend on the provider and the work involved. It does not automatically give you the colour, typography, layout and application system needed for a consistent brand. Blink's entry package includes an essential identity, rather than only a logo.
Does branding include naming and trademark registration?
These should never be assumed from the word “branding”. Blink's standard packages begin with an approved name and exclude naming, trademark clearance and registration. Any separately required services should be identified before the project begins.
Is branding a one-time fee or a monthly service?
Blink's branding packages are project-based, with staged payments. Ongoing design support, new campaign materials and future additions require a separate scope. The project fee does not cover unlimited design work after handover.
Can I start with a smaller scope and add more later?
Yes, provided the first phase covers what you need to operate. Later additions are quoted separately. If you already know you will need bilingual applications or packaging, mention them upfront so the initial direction can account for those requirements.
A clearer scope makes a better budget
The useful starting point is knowing which decisions are already made and what your business needs to launch or move forward. From there, it becomes easier to choose the right depth of work.
