Marketing Advice or Marketing Management: Which Do You Need?

Blink Group UAE

One difficult decision, recurring questions or a team working without clear direction? Each calls for a different kind of marketing support.

Marketing Advice or Marketing Management: Which Do You Need?

Your designer is waiting for feedback. The advertising specialist wants a budget decision. Someone has suggested a new website, but you are still unsure whether the offer itself is clear.

At this point, “we need marketing help” can mean several things. You might need an outside view on one decision, regular guidance while your team works, or someone to organise priorities across the people involved.

If you are looking for marketing consultancy in the UAE, identifying that difference is a useful first step. It determines what support you need and who remains responsible for moving the work forward.

Start with the responsibility you need help with

There are three useful questions to ask:

  • “What should we do about this?” You have a specific decision and need a focused professional perspective.
  • “Are we making the right decisions as we go?” Your team is implementing the work, but would benefit from regular review and guidance.
  • “Who is connecting the work and following it through?” You have people delivering marketing tasks, but priorities, responsibilities and decisions are fragmented.

These needs can look similar from the outside. The difference becomes clear after the meeting: who assigns the work, coordinates the people and checks what happened?

When a focused marketing consultation is enough

A single session is useful when one decision is holding up the next step. You may need to clarify an offer, assess a campaign direction or decide what deserves attention before a launch.

For example, a founder considering a website redesign may first need to discuss whether the main problem is the message, the structure or the offer. A focused conversation can help frame that decision before a larger project is commissioned.

Blink's Brand & Marketing Clarity Session

AED 499 · Up to 60 minutes · Online

The session centres on one brand or marketing question. Beforehand, you complete a short questionnaire and provide the relevant links or materials. Blink prepares at a high level around the agreed topic, then discusses the options, tradeoffs and next steps with you.

A concise email summary with key recommendations follows within one business day.

The value is a clearer basis for a decision. A detailed audit, market research, written strategy, content calendar or implementation requires a separate scope. The session also does not include a follow-up meeting or ongoing support.

When you need advice throughout the month

Some decisions only become clear once work starts. A team may agree a content direction, develop the first materials, receive feedback and then need to reconsider the next priority.

Regular advisory support gives you scheduled opportunities to review that progress. It suits a business with someone already responsible for assigning tasks and managing delivery.

Blink's Monthly Strategic Advisory

Starting from AED 3,500 · A 30-day service period

The standard schedule includes:

  • One 60-minute starting session to agree context, priorities and the active workstream.
  • Four weekly follow-up calls of 30 minutes each.
  • High-level review of one agreed key item during each follow-up call.
  • Concise action points after each session.

A review item could be a content direction, an offer, a campaign decision or a performance report. The starting scope covers one business or brand and one primary workstream.

This gives the decision-maker a regular outside perspective while work is underway. Your team still assigns tasks, implements recommendations and manages employees or suppliers. Daily messaging, project management, team supervision and creating plans or deliverables are outside the advisory scope.

When the team needs ongoing marketing leadership

Sometimes the owner already receives plenty of advice. The difficulty is turning it into an agreed plan across designers, advertising specialists, content creators and internal staff.

Typical signs include repeated changes in direction, unclear approval responsibilities and work that is completed without anyone checking how it supports the wider objective.

That calls for a broader engagement than scheduled advice. The work needs a planning and review process, agreed responsibilities and follow-through between the people delivering it.

Blink's Strategic Marketing Management & Advisory

This service works alongside an existing team or appointed providers. It begins with a four-month commitment:

  • Month one: assessment and foundation, from AED 8,600. Blink reviews the agreed activity, workflow, messages and available data, then prepares the management framework and a 90-day action plan.
  • Months two to four: management and advisory, from AED 6,500 per month. Blink directs priorities, coordinates the agreed work, reviews materials and available performance, and follows up on implementation.

The starting investment for the initial four months is AED 28,100. Final pricing depends on the agreed scope.

The foundation includes a responsibility and approval table, a shared workspace for tasks and decisions, and a 90-day plan with the first 30 days set out in detail. The ongoing base scope covers one business, one main market, up to three channels and up to four core team or provider parties, with up to four meetings and four consolidated review batches per month.

The practical difference is coordination and follow-through. Blink helps connect decisions to owners, deadlines and the next review. Specialist execution remains with the client team or appointed providers: design, copywriting, campaign operation, production and website development are not included in the management fee.

Client management still approves budgets and major decisions. The service also does not replace the client's day-to-day operational management.

What to prepare before asking for marketing support

A useful brief does not need to be long. It should make the current situation understandable:

  • The decision or difficulty: describe what is unclear, delayed or repeatedly going wrong.
  • The people already involved: identify who creates, implements and approves the work.
  • The available evidence: share relevant materials, reports and customer observations.
  • The constraints: be clear about budget, timing, access and delivery capacity.
  • The responsibility you want support with: distinguish advice, coordination and hands-on execution.

If there is no team or supplier available to carry out the work, advice alone will not fill that gap. A defined execution service, such as one of Blink's growth packages, may be a more suitable starting point.

Common questions

Is the free Discovery Call a marketing consultation?

No. The Discovery Call is a free, 15–20-minute conversation to understand your business, assess fit and identify the appropriate service. It does not include an account review, strategic problem-solving, research or written recommendations.

Will I receive a written marketing strategy after a Clarity Session?

You receive a concise email summary of recommendations and next steps. A detailed written strategy, audit or campaign plan is a separate deliverable and is not included in the session.

Does Monthly Strategic Advisory include managing my freelancers?

No. It provides guidance and focused review during the agreed sessions. You remain responsible for managing freelancers and implementing decisions. Strategic Marketing Management & Advisory is the service to consider when you need coordination and implementation follow-through within a defined scope.

Can Blink work with the team or agency I already have?

Yes. Both monthly services can support a business with existing delivery resources, but their roles differ. Advisory helps you make and review decisions; the management engagement also provides the agreed planning, coordination and review process around those resources.

Does the management fee include advertising or content production?

No. Media spend, production, specialist execution, subscriptions and external provider costs are separate. The approved proposal confirms the responsibilities and fees before work begins.

The right support should make the next step clearer

A focused question may need one conversation. Active work may benefit from regular guidance. A team moving in different directions may need a shared plan and ongoing coordination.

The value depends on choosing the right role and having the resources to act on the recommendations. Advice and management support do not guarantee sales, leads or other commercial outcomes.

Tell Blink what you are working through. We will review the enquiry, assess whether we are the right fit and identify the most suitable starting point.
